Mixed Media Layout - Scrapmatts DT

Hello my dear crafty friends,
Here we are in June and this is the last week of this month.... wowww time flies by! I hope you are getting some creative time in each day!

I have been having a lot of fun  with mixed media, so today I would love to share a mixed media layout that I made and hope I will inspire you to create a masculine layout too.

Here is my mixed media layout.....

I created a mixed media background using  some texture paste with Scrapmatts stencil and then with a wet brush I painted randomly with Lindys Stamps Gang ink sprays. Once this background dried I've added some stamps here and there.

Here are some close up photos....

Some chipboards I inked with Jet Black Archival Ink pad and when the chipboard cogs were dry I added a bit of pigment ink "Cosmic copper" and "Galaxy gold" on top to give the effect of rust marks.

While they were drying I started embellishing my layout until I was happy with the finished page.

Well thats all from me today....
I hope you like what I made and will feel motivated to get creative.

My May Inspirations - Scrapmatts DT

Hello everyone,
Novita here with you today to share a few projects I have created using some awesome Scrapmatts chipboard pieces and stencils.

The first project I've made is a mixed media layout.

"The Time"
Follow Your Heart & Dream

To create the background I used lots of media products....
First of all I used two different stencils and sponged heavy white gesso and then added some ink on the paper. Once this layer dry I added some random stamping.

For the chipboard, I coloured the pieces with black ink, then added some adhesive before sprinkling some flakes on.
I added some papers layers with tag from my stash and adhered them behind my photo before I started embellishing.

Here are some close up photos....

My second project to share with you is a card!

It's always handy to have a few cards ready for some last minute gift giving.

" HAPPY "

I started cutting papers to make a card and then inked my chosen chipboard pieces with Distress Oxide ink.

I inked the edges of the chipboards to give a dimension - this is easy to do with a juicy ink pad or foam dauber.

While they were drying I started embellishing....

Here's  a few close ups.....
